MOSC5 is designed to convert instantaneous voltage values of an electric signal into a digital code, measure instantaneous voltage values, measure time intervals between two instantaneous voltage values through two independent channels with galvanic isolation.

MOSC5 provides:

  • digital-to-analog conversion of the instantaneous voltage values ​​of the input signals through two channels with a given sampling rate and recording the received measurement information in the memory installed on the mezzanine.
  • the ability to programmatically connect to the object of control and disconnect from the control object of the input signal lines of the measuring channels
  • the ability to set launch parameters: fountain of the trigger signal for the "internal" trigger mode; a trigger signal slice for the “internal” trigger mode; measurement time preceding the appearance of a sync event;
  • the ability to select the following triggering events: at the command of the program (“program” launch mode); achievement by the input signal of the set trigger threshold on one (selected) of the two channels (“internal” trigger mode); the input signal reaches the set trigger threshold on the analog sync input (connector "CB" on the front panel of the mezzanine);
  • software installation of the following modes of DC channel operation: “open input” (absence of dividing capacity at the input); "Closed entrance" (presence at the input of the separation tank)

MOSC5 channels are galvanically isolated from the mezzanine case and control signals.

The trigger threshold setting range in the “internal” trigger mode corresponds to the selected measurement range. The signal generated from the internal trigger source has the shape of a rectangular pulse, the parameters of which correspond to the logic levels of the TTL type IC:
  • logical zero level - from 0 to 0.8 V;
  • logical unit level - from 2.4 to 5 V
Software setting of parameters at start-up from a signal supplied to the CB connector:
  • trigger level - from minus 5 to plus 5 V in 0.1 V increments;
  • trigger event - slice / edge of the signal.
Software selection of reference frequency sources:
  • internal generator;
  • an external generator, from which a signal with a frequency of 10 MHz should be supplied to the connector “VCh VX” mezzanine. The input signal level must correspond to the logic levels of the TTL type IC (log. 0 - from 0 to 0.8 V; log. 1 - from 2.4 to 5.5 V)
At the command of the program, a signal is generated from the internal reference frequency generator. Signal parameters of the internal reference frequency generator:
  • frequency - 10 MHz;
  • the levels of the generated signal correspond to the logical levels of the TTL type IC (log. 0 - from 0 to 0.8 V; log. 1 - from 2.4 to 5.5 V)
